This shows the pond as it is in May 2005.
We never actualy finished the bridge, the filter cover, the overall aesthetics, we just let them sit there for over 3 months, I'm just here to enjoy looking at the fish. When the bridge is properly finished, I will send you some pics.
For the overall pond and filter design, I had great help from Audi Rusli, a member of the Indonesian Nishikigoi Association.

The cons in building an indoor pond:
The digging was horrible (the ground water level was high, we need to keep a submersible running while digging. It was a mess) setting up and tearing up the cast took up alot of time. The pond took 6 months to build. We started around Aug 04, finished sometimes early Feb 05.
Getting enough sunlight could be a problem. However I changed some of the roof shingles to those see through material, quite pricey.
I had planned using a vortex, however I could never get it through the door.
The pros:
Its safer for everyone. No predators, no leaves, no mess.
This website started with a
booklet which I made up originally for the help of those members of the BKKS
- South Wales Section who were intending to start building a koi pond, and as the website has expanded more information and articles from other people have been included. This
is for general guidance only, and we do not take any responsibility for problems
that might occur by following these ideas. It is important
that you check out everything in your area, and check on local laws and rules
that may apply.
